- The airport states that the Airport Bus (route 8411, Phuket Mahanakorn Co., Ltd.) runs from the domestic-side public transport area to Phuket Town between 08:00 and 21:00 daily, with fares charged by distance and paid by QR code or in cash on board.
- In August 2018 the Tourism Authority of Thailand reported that several projects were planned at Chalong Pier to increase safety and capacity, and that more pontoons and moorings were being installed for the increasing number of boats in Chalong Bay; no agency, budget or completion date was given.
- Roads named by the provincial authorities within the sub-district include Chao Fa East Road, Patak Road, Soi Palai Road, Soi Ta-iad Road, Yodsane 1 and 2 Roads and Soi Suki Road.

About Chalong
What is known about it.
- The temple states that it was built early in the 19th century and that its venerated monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, led the people of Chalong against the Chinese rebellion of 1876 and treated the injured with herbal medicine.
- After the boat incidents off Phuket in July 2018, officials opened a 24-hour command and rescue centre for the capsizing at Chalong Pier.
- The tambon's border with tambon Wichit crosses Chao Fa East Road, and its border with tambon Karon crosses Patak Road.
- Chalong Pier was the venue for the launch of the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Coral College marine-tourism safety programme on 24 July 2025, attended by the provincial government and marine tourism businesses.
- The temple's most recent building is a 60-metre chedi that houses a bone fragment of the Buddha and has three floors open to visitors.
