- The planned Kathu–Patong expressway ends on the Kathu side at its junction with Highway 4029.
- The airport states that the Airport Bus (route 8411, Phuket Mahanakorn Co., Ltd.) leaves from the public transport area on the domestic side, charges fares by distance travelled, and takes payment by QR code or in cash on board.
- The Airport Bus Express from Phuket International Airport (HKT) to Patong Beach stops at Kathu Intersection, and runs from 08:00 to 20:00 from the airport and 06:00 to 18:30 from Patong.

What is known about it.
- Red Mountain Golf Club, at 119 Moo 4 Vichitsongklam Road, Kathu, is laid out on rocky ground left by former tin mining.
- MBK states that it also owns and operates Red Mountain Golf Club, the immediate neighbour of Loch Palm.
- The municipality gives its population as 30,797; the date of the count is not stated.
- Loch Palm Golf Club, at 38 Moo 5 Vichitsongklam Road, Kathu, is an 18-hole, par-71 course owned and operated by MBK Public Co., Ltd.
- Two national reserve forests lie within the municipality: the Khao Nak Koet range forest and the Khao Kamala range forest.
