The Khao Phra Thaeo wildlife centre is given as about 20 kilometres from Phuket Town, reached through Thalang town; whether the figure is by road is not stated.
The Airport Bus (route 8411, Phuket Mahanakorn Co., Ltd.) leaves from Exit 3 on floor 3 of the domestic terminal, runs daily from 08:00 to 21:00, charges fares by distance travelled, and takes payment by QR code or in cash on board.
The Airport Bus Express from the airport to Patong Beach lists stops at Thalang and Lotus Thalang, and runs from 08:00 to 20:00 from the airport and 06:00 to 18:30 from Patong.

Ton Sai Waterfall lies in tambon Thep Krasattri, Amphoe Thalang; it is a small waterfall whose flow is strongest in the rainy season.

The forest is moist evergreen forest, and the recorded wildlife includes monkeys, gibbons, civets, squirrels, mouse-deer, wild boar and more than 100 bird species.
The Khao Phra Thaeo range is steep, with small valley floors; streams run fast after rain and feed Ton Sai Waterfall, Bang Pae Waterfall and other watercourses.
